We All Must Act in Response to the East Africa Famine

This Friday we are posting a plea for support and commitment to address the worst drought in 60 years in Africa. Our media’s preoccupation with phone hacking and interest rates has resulted in too many Australian’s lacking awareness of the famine in the Horne of Africa. The UN estimates that more than 12 million people need urgent help, tens of thousands have already died and hundreds of thousands more risk starvation.

Please donate to one of the aid organisations working to provide aid in Africa (including UNICEF, World Food Programme, World Vision, Red Cross, Oxfam, Action Aid, Save the Children)and raise awareness amongst friends and family to generate collective action. We all have the power to make a difference.
