Positive Step Forward in Providing Adventure-Based Learning Opportunities Beyond the Classroom

Destination Dreaming has welcomed the Victorian Labour Party’s announcement that it will fund a Year 9 experience program should it be re-elected this Saturday.

The provision of experiential learning opportunities beyond the classroom is invaluable. Such experiences develop independence, resilience, interpersonal skills and the confidence to persevere in challenging situations.

We are excited by the prospect that Victorian students may now have access to unique outdoor education experiences that are inaccessible within the confines of a classroom.

Destination Dreaming hopes that secondary schools may consider the opportunity to provide a community participation experience for Year 9 students, allowing students to contribute to connect with a community project and explore a diverse culture.
