Partnership Programs

Our educational programs for schools provide learning experiences that promote self-awareness, intercultural communication, civic engagement and social responsibility. We are very clear about what we don’t do- if you’re after an expensive, 3-to-6-week adventure program with unskilled student volunteering, there are large travel companies available to support you. But if ethical, community partnerships, mindfulness and measurable, life-changing results are important to you… you’ve come to the right place.

Our program curriculum has been carefully designed by experienced teachers to integrate with the current Australian Curriculum and the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals. Each program is designed to be unique to your school and can incorporate specific curriculum content.

Health and Safety:

All of Destination Dreaming programs are underpinned by a detailed risk management program, which is continually reviewed, updated, and customised to each individual program. Our Program Leaders are experienced educators, global health professionals and community development workers. They are supported by a 24 hour management and operations team throughout each program.

All programs involve a detailed evaluation component to ensure outcomes are measurable and lead to meaningful, lasting development at an individual and community level.

How we support you to make it happen:

We are here with the expertise to help you offer an amazing program. With a number of school teachers on our team, we understand the need to minimise the logistical burden that you may face when organising a student trip. We provide all the material you need, present with you at a Parent Information Evening, facilitate pre and post program workshops, advise attending teachers and parents, prepare an experienced Program Leader perfect for your program, and of course coordinate all program logistics, from flights to risk assessments and everything in between.

Schools choose from three program offerings:

1. Global Partnerships program focusing on the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

2. Sports teams - Our Fiji intercultural sports programs offer school groups a rich touring experience that provides cultural team building for pre-season or end of season skills development.

3. Learning from Losing life-skills program - the bias thought filter - supporting self-regulating well-being. Click here to learn more.

Working together

We work with you to identify curriculum links that are relevant to classroom teaching and learning before we travel abroad. We acknowledge the significant disruption overseas immersions can cause to lesson planning. We endeavour to bring as many useful learning outcomes and observations as possible back into the classroom with your students.

If you’re looking for a one-off mainstream tour experience, Destination Dreaming is not the provider for your school.
